POWER  FACTOR  FORMULA

Power  Factor Formula :-  it is the ratio of active power or true power  to the  apparent  power. Power Factor Formula:-  __ Active power__

Apparent power (KVA)

Active Power:- it is the actual power consumed or utilized in an circuit is known as active power, active power symbolized by P and measured in the unit of watts (w) .

kW = √ (kVA2 – kVAR2)

Reactive  Power :-  when there is no current or voltage in an ac circuit , reactive power is symbolized by Q and messured in the unit of Volt-Amps- Resistance (VAR).

Q = Reactive Power Ractive Power Formulas :-  Q = V I SIN 0   positive (+ve) for inductive loads  VAR =√ (VA2 – P2)     negative (-Ve) for capacitive load.

kVAR = √ (kVA2 – kW2)

Apparent Power :-  it is combination of true power and reactive power , apparent power symbolized by S and measured in the unit of Volt-Amps (VA). Apparent Power Formulas --
